There’s still a month or so of Summer like weather here in Cyprus, before we start considering long pants and socks.
Despite the temperature though, the Autumn clouds are already here, decorating the sky.
Such a beautiful time of the year.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the division of Cyprus, and the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall.
To commemorate these two events, the embassy of Cyprus in Berlin organizes a photo exhibition in which 10 pictures from my book project Nicosia in Dark and White will be featured, along with other projects.
The exhibition will take place at the awesome Kunstquartier Bethanien Art Center in Berlin.
The opening will be on the coming Tuesday, September 9, at 6pm.
If you’re anywhere near, come and say hi!
The girl was standing there, contemplating jumping in, for more than an hour.
Even though thinking is one of the highest calls, it often times ends up becoming an obstacle, freezing us in place.
Oh, the elusive balance between thinking and acting.
Something to think about :)

Went hunting for Perseids last night (again), but came up empty (again)…
Only interesting shot (except for a few with airplane light trails) is this one…
A small satellite heading north, with part of the Milky Way (upper right) and the Andromeda galaxy (lower right), just before the Moonrise washed everything out…
Today marks the fortieth anniversary of Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus.
Forty years later and despite numerous UN resolutions, Turkey still occupies the north part of the island including half of Nicosia, the capital.
These pictures are from our book, Nicosia in Dark and White, published in 2010.
