Deep in the Woods
(with Tull’s Songs from the Wood echoing in the background…)
From its inception, I was shooting my second book project on 4×5″ Harman direct positive paper… having a couple boxes of Fomapan 100 at hand though, couldn’t resist trying it out… so, made a switch midway through… playing with different materials and seeing what they can offer is fun…
not sure yet which one I like best… will have to shoot a bit more of the Fomapan I guess…

These are really fabulous. I would think you would get ‘better’ tonality with the film than you are getting from the paper. However I also think there is no one right answer. I think it depends on the ‘look’ you are after, and unfortunately or surprisingly, or perhaps not so, some subjects will look beter done on film than paper and vica versa, and often you don’t know which till you try it!
